The client came to me with a sapphire and diamond “Lady Diana” style engagement ring. She wanted to update and modernise it. The issue was she had a shaped wedding ring to fit around the existing engagement ring which she wanted to keep. The solution was to set the sapphire rub over style and compression set 6 of the 8 diamonds into triangles on either side for the central stone. The remaining 2 diamonds where set into the side wall of the sapphire bezel. The shape of the overall ring sat beautifully next to her wedding ring
