Details:

This ring was made using gold from a multi generational  family wedding ring.  The 22ct was melted and rolled and drawn though a draw plate to make the round wire edges that flank the 18ct white gold band. 3 round brilliant cut diamonds were then compression set into the top of the ring

Background

Mark came to me with his Granddad’s wedding ring which he wanted to use for sentimental reasons. But he wanted to modernise it. The ring was a traditional wide D section. I decided the best way to achieve what he wanted was to cut the ring open and turn it inside out. Then with heat and hammers and muscle shaped it into what you see here…
