Make Your Own Wedding Ring

A Symbol of your eternal Love, the unbroken circle, a wedding ring. What could be more meaningful than making each other this significant part of the wedding ritual?

How it works:
You will meet with our goldsmith Loree to discuss your requirements. At this meeting you will determine the metal (yellow/white gold, silver, or platinum) width, shape (curved, flat, court) and finish (shiny, brushed, hammered). We have a sample box to help you with your decisions. When all this is finalised, Loree will email you with the cost of the metal and ask for a deposit.

On the Day:
You will have private One to One tuition throughout the day. You will learn to saw, file, shape and solder your rings. Rounding out and checking the size is up next. Finally, you will finish and polish the rings on a professional jewellery polishing motor.

To Finish the day:
We will take photos through out the day and will end with a champaign toast to your achievement. At NJS we never mix alcohol and power tools! Your rings will then be sent off for Hallmarking at the Sheffield Assay office and any engraving you may want.

Pick up-When your rings are back from Hallmarking you come back to collect then in a lux presentation ring box, and a printed photo from the day.

I wanted my fiancé’s engagement ring to be unique, so chose to try and make it myself. As a complete novice I wasn’t convinced this was going to be feasible at first, but Loree assured me anything was possible! Loree made the process super fun throughout, only stepping in when her expert hand was needed. My fiancé and I couldn’t be happier with the finished ring, it’s always receiving compliments and feels that bit extra special knowing I made it myself! I’d 100% recommend the process to anyone of any ability, who really wants a one-of-a-kind engagement ring!
